SAP verifies interoperability with Microsoft .NET by testing specific scenarios. The following scenarios between SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1 EHP1 and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 have been tested:
- Synchronous and asynchronous communication (WS-RM 1.1, SOAP 1.1) with non-addressable clients with:
- Security on communication transport level using HTTPS and authentication methods
- X.509 SSL Client Certificate (Transport Channel Authentication)
- User ID/Password (Message Authentication)
- X.509 Certificate (Message Authentication)
- Security on message level using symmetric/asymmetric message signature/encryption and authentication methods
- User ID/Password (Message Authentication)
- X.509 Certificate (Message Authentication)
- Security on communication transport level using HTTPS and authentication methods
Further, WS-SecureConversation can be used to build a security context. SAP is currently leveraging WS-SecureConversation primarily to allow WS-ReliableMessaging to reuse a security context.
