Q: How can I check whether I have set the basic customizing correctly?

3. Default Company Code

Q: Which Company Code do I need to maintain for basic Financial Accounting settings?

A: Use Company Code US01 which is delivered in Standard.

4. Identification Number and Social Security Number

Q: Is it possible to assign an ID number to a student and store the SSN number as well?

A: Yes. SLCM will automatically assign a student number when a student master record is created. Format and range of numbers to be used can be identified by you. The SSN can be stored additionally in the STMD. An unlimited number of identification numbers for customer-defined identification types can be stored for a student using the functionality "BP Identification numbers".

5. Duplicate Records

Q: Does the system check for duplicate records?

A: In standard SSN, birth date, first name, last name and name at birth are checked. The system can create an applicant automatically during admission application processing (ISR). Automated corrections based on specific customer requirements can be implemented via customer project.

6. Disability Categories

Q: Can specific disability categories be user defined?

A: Yes, all are user defined.

7. Data Privacy

Q: Does SLCM allow the display of a data privacy warning (FERPA) before the student data is accessed?

A: Yes, customers can definde during which transactions FERPA warnings are being displayed.  

8. Additional student data

Q: How can I maintain additional student data that shall be displayed in the student master?

A: Customers can maintain user-defined tab pages and also add their own infotypes.
