SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI, formerly known as JDI)

Welcome to the SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI/JDI) space. This is the SDN WIKI starting point for topics around SAP NetWeaver (Java) Development Infrastructure. Feel free to create and correct entries.
With usage type DI (for "development infrastructure") the SAP NetWeaver features an environment for the complete development life-cycle of Java-based applications. This even includes modification management for applications delivered by SAP at customers and partners. For more information, demos and blogs on NWDI, please refer to the NWDI Knowledge Center in the SDN under Application Server -> Java -> Knowledge Center/SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure.

There is a book available at the market named Java Programming with the SAP Web Application Server ISBN 1-59229-020-5, which brings in-depth information on different aspects of Java-based development in an SAP environment, including three chapters on the JDI. (Release 2004 (6.40) is described, an update is planned, which will also deal with the CE environment)
