MaxDB Database Analyzer General System Information

At the beginning of each day the DB Analyzer gives a list of useful system information. The following examples are based on Database Studio output. You will find the same information in SAP-System transaction DB50.

Version information

This section gives the information which Database Analyzer configuration file is used and with which database kernel version your instance is currently running.

System information

The system information tells you important information about the hardware of the database server.

 Number of CPUs: 2, processor type: Intel IA32 level 6 revision f06
 Physical memory 3069 MB, virtual memory 4959 MB, memory allocated from instance: 147 MB
 Operating system: Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2)

Instance configuration information

The instance configuration section tells you detailes about the database configuration.

The first important information tells you if/when the paramter check  (SAP Note 1111426 "Parameter check for liveCache/MaxDB instances" (SMP login required)) has been executed.

If a check has never been performed:
* W1 No configuration check of instance <SID> has been performed

If the check has not yet been performed for the current version:

*I Last configuration check of instance <SID> executed 2008-12-29 17:11:06 with checker version 1.08, December 29, 2008
*W1 Last configuration check based on version 7.6.06 Build 03, current version is 7.6.06 Build 04

If the check has already been performed for the current version:

*I Last configuration check of instance <SID> executed 2009-07-07 17:11:06 with checker version 1.18, July 07, 2009
*I Last configuration check based on version 7.6.06 Build 04, current version is 7.6.06 Build 04 so far

 Number of CPUs 'MaxCPUs' usable by instance: 1, max user tasks: 10
 Size of data cache 941 pages, 19.66% in use, size of converter cache 18 pages
 Number of data volumes 1, usable size 2558 pages, used size 621 pages (24%)
 Log automatic overwrite is set to 'on' !
