Introduction

As per SAP Library Glossary, Project System is a component of the SAP system that you use to plan, execute, and account for projects as part of your business processes.

So, Project System is project-based structure with life cycle. In other words, it is time bound repository of project structures which can track planning, collection, and generates costs and revenue.

What is a Project?

As per SAP help, Projects are generally complex, unique, having a high degree of risk, having precise goals, are limited in duration, are cost and capacity intensive, are subject to quality control and strategic importance to the company carrying out project.

Project Life Cycle

It is one of the SAP modules which integrates closely with most of the other SAP modules, namely, Sales and Distribution (SD), After Market or Customer Service(CS), Material Management (MM), Human Resources (HR), Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Investment Management (IM), Production Planning (PP), Plant Maintenance (PM), Document Management System (DMS), Portfolio & Project Management (PPM).
