Christian Bartels

is a Diplom Ingenieur (equivalent to Master degree) in Electrical Engeneering of the Technical University Braunschweig, Germany. He started working with the system AS/400 (now known as IBM System i) at IBM in 1990 in the the German support center in Mainz. In 1997 he was assigned to the SAP First Level Support in Walldorf to be the link between the IBM and SAP support organizations for AS/400 specific customer problems. Between 1999 and 2001, he spent two years in the IBM developement in Rochester, MN, working mainly on the database interface for SAP and database performance. Since 2001, he is working in the porting team for SAP on IBM DB2 for i5/OS, focussing on the DBSL, CCMS and system performance.
