Well let's see... Llived in Calgary all my life and married to my wonderful wife for 17 years with 2 awesome girls 12 and 16. I love getting out into nature as we live very close to the Canadian Rockies. It's a great time to spiritually reflect, get some fresh air and enjoy life.
While still going to University, my career began volunteering for a small engineering firm developing customer applications and making a few bucks life-guarding on the side. After University 1988, a real paying IT job(Systems Admin/programmer) for the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede arose - for those who know the annual event it's 10 days of fun every July. In 1993/94 a Government Aerospace job was my next assignment as a Systems/Oracle DBA administrator, then moved off to do some more IT management and work from 1994-96.
In 1996, TranaAlta (Utilities) became another chapter for over 10 years. Where my career path involved... SAP BASIS/Oracle DBA-> BASIS Lead-> Data Architect-> Project Lead-> SAP UIS Team Lead in New Zealand-> Infrastructure Lead-> Technology Architect-> Enterprise Data Architect-> SAP BI Program Manager/ASUG BI Event Chair/Technology Architecture Lead-> and finally Enterprise Architecture Manager - Whew - Thats a mouthful....
June 2007 SAP (otherwise know as the "Dark Side") approached me for an Enterprise Architect position for the Business Process Platform. I now work with customers in Western Canada to strategize, plan, and map business needs to SAP technology...and lovin' It!![]()
