Me in briefs
Julius Bussche started breaking computers and other electronic devices at the age of 7, perhaps earlier. Initially limited only to low-tech hardware D-o-S attacks, he later extended his skill sets to more sophisticated vectors and learnt a greater respect for securing information assets and protecting them from people such as himself.
An economist and statistician by learning, and an accountant and auditor by profession, Julius developed an interest in computing - how business logic and process flows are implemented in computing environments and particularly SAP technologies. Initially this started off as a bit of a hobby and an attempt to make his life easier while auditing large datasets and various events from times gone by, later including more advanced use of available solutions to prevent certain undesirable events as well. Julius considers himself to be particularly creative in this area.
This hobby steadily grew out-of-control until Julius discovered the SDN Security Forum (of which he is an SDN Forum Moderator and SAP Mentor) which played a significant motivational role in his confession to himself that he should have made a profession out of what had become his hobby - so, he did.
Julius has worked in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and speaks several languages. He is Director of Security with Xiting AG based in Switzerland, and does SAP Netweaver Security training and consulting internationally.
