Marcel Salein was born in the year 1982 in Immenstadt/Germany.
After high school graduation, he absolved civil service and founded his own IT service enterprise.
The core competences of his company were web technologies and software engineering.
After civil service he studied business informatics and eBusiness
at the university of applied sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten.
He has developed business applications for several companies of south germany during his study.
His fields of activity are Business Intelligence, Integrated Planning, ABAP, ABAP OO, Web Dynpro for ABAP, Web Services and SAP Netweaver Visual Composer.
He is moderator of the SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer Forum and Wiki on SDN. In August 2008 he founded with five colleagues FIVE1 GmbH & Co. KG.
The activities of the splitt-off company is SAP consulting with focus on corporate performance management. In 2009 he has written together with FIVE1 colleagues and Carsten Bönnen from SAP the standard reference book about Visual Composer in german language called "Praxishandbuch Visual Composer" and released by SAP Press.
